EIU Executive Summary

This Spring, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) conducted two concurrent surveys sponsored by Lyris. One asked consumers and the other asked marketing executives about the effectiveness of different marketing channels. Marketing executives were also asked to share what marketing strategies they are investing in and what their biggest challenges are. The findings of both surveys indicate that some gaps exist in marketers’ perception of how consumers want to engage with brands, what influences their purchase decisions, and where strategies are misaligned.
